About Me
The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma 🥛
My Story
I pass the vibe check, I get the job done.
I started my journey as a software engineer in 2019, learning the basics of web development with html, css, and javascript. As barbaric as it sounds, my first job had us writing out raw html and javascript for their web app. I'm grateful for the learning experience, but everything changed when the fire nation- I mean when I was introduced to React the year after. I got deeply involved with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and the rest is history. I built this website using TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and a custom CMS just for flair. The backend makes use of Next.js' server-side fetching and API routes, along with a npm package I created to manage AWS services behind the scenes. You didn't think this text was hard-coded, did you?
I know, I know, this isn't the most professional way to describe myself. After years of working in this industry around many different types of colleagues, I have a crystal clear idea of the kind of people I want surrounding me. I enjoy the job I do, and even more so the people I get to share the job with. If you're still reading at this point and are not deterred by the informality, you're probably one of those people. Vibe check passed.
